I tried Reaslim as a powdered dietary supplement to support weight loss and mainly for better appetite control. I took it when I adjusted my diet and was looking for something simple to incorporate into my daily routine. My main goal was to curb my evening cravings for sweets.

The combination of tangerine and mint on the packaging caught my attention. The ingredients included L-carnitine, chromium, vitamin C, B vitamins, and an extract from coleus root. I didn’t expect the powder to help me lose extra pounds on its own. I viewed it more as a small support when I felt that my restricted diet might soon break me and I would reach for cookies.

How I Used It

I took one daily dose, about 3.5 grams, always after breakfast. I mixed the powder in a larger glass of cold water. This worked best for me. In lukewarm water, I found the taste more unpleasant, and there was always some residue settled at the bottom.

For the first two days, I tried a smaller glass, and that was a mistake. The drink was too strong, the mint overpowered the tangerine, and it tasted like a candy dissolved in water. After a few attempts, I found the right amount of water that suited me. I prepared it in the morning before I turned on my work computer; otherwise, I sometimes forgot about it during the day.

What I Felt

During the first week, not much happened. My weight fluctuated up and down depending on how I ate, slept, and moved. I didn’t experience a sudden burst of energy, which I appreciated. I didn’t want to feel something like several strong coffees. Instead, I had a less sleepy period around noon, but I can’t say if it was due to Reaslim or because I started taking brisk walks.

By the second week, I noticed a slight change in my afternoon cravings. Previously, I would automatically reach for something sweet after lunch. With Reaslim, I still had the craving, but it wasn’t as overwhelming. I found it easier to satisfy it with yogurt, fruit, or tea. It wasn’t a huge difference, but it had practical significance for me, as I made the worst decisions between three and five in the afternoon.

In the third week, I felt that I was better at controlling my portions. Not because I wasn’t hungry. I normally felt hungry before meals, which seemed fine to me. I just didn’t have the same urge to finish everything in front of me. My weight started to go down, but I attribute that mainly to regular meals, less alcohol on weekends, and physical activity. Reaslim worked for me as a small support, not as the main reason for the change.

I took it for seven weeks. In the last two weeks, I didn’t feel any further intensification of the effect. My sweet cravings didn’t disappear, and in the evening after a long day, I still tended to look for something salty or sweet. The powder also didn’t fix my relationship with food. When I was tired, angry, or skipped lunch, no dose saved me from overeating.

What I Disliked

  • For the first four days, I felt a brief warmth in my stomach after drinking it.
  • When I drank the beverage on an empty stomach, I felt slightly nauseous once.
  • The powder stuck to the edge of the glass, and without thorough mixing, the last sip remained uncomfortably thick.
  • The mint component sometimes lingered in my mouth longer than I expected.

The nausea disappeared when I moved Reaslim to after breakfast. I tried mixing it in coffee once because it seemed tempting, but I didn’t like that combination. The tangerine with coffee was strange, and I felt unnecessary acidity in my stomach afterward. In water, it made much more sense to me.

With such a supplement, I would always reread the entire ingredient list and check if I could tolerate the individual substances. I would recommend that people with sensitive stomachs start cautiously and not take it on an empty stomach. I would also skip it if I had an allergy to any ingredient, during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, and when taking medications where chromium or herbal extracts might play a role. In such situations, I would first consult a doctor or pharmacist.

I would recommend Reaslim to someone who already has at least a basic routine and wants a simple supplement for better appetite control once a day. It suits someone who expects gradual support rather than a quick transformation. I wouldn’t recommend it to someone looking for a substitute for food, exercise, or a solution for long-term overeating.

I would buy it again during a period when I would be returning to a weight-loss diet and knew that afternoon cravings were a problem for me. I wouldn’t expect miracles from it and would monitor my intake after meals. For me, it made it a bit easier to stick to my routine, but the results mainly depended on what I did outside of the glass with the powder.
