I tried Nicorix because I wanted help breaking my smoking routine without using more nicotine, and I hoped the cravings would ease enough for me to get some control back. It comes as a pack of 60 capsules, and I used it as a nicotine-free stop-smoking support.

I took two capsules a day for six weeks. One went with breakfast and the other after my evening meal. I kept the pack beside the kettle because that was where I usually reached for my first cigarette, and that small change helped me interrupt the habit before I acted on it.

What I noticed in the first weeks

The first week was still hard. Nicorix did not suddenly wipe out cravings, and I still wanted a cigarette with coffee, after food, and during stressful calls at work. By the end of that week, the urges felt a little less frantic, but I could not separate that from the fact that I was also trying harder.

Week two was where I felt a real shift. I started pausing before smoking instead of lighting up automatically. The cravings were still there, but they came in shorter bursts. I would make tea, take a quick walk around the garden, or wash a few cups, and sometimes the urge passed before I gave in.

That was the biggest help for me. Nicorix did not make me forget cigarettes, and it did not replace the hand-to-mouth part of the habit. I missed the break itself more than I expected. Standing outside for five minutes had been my excuse to step away, so I had to build that break into my day on purpose.

The downsides I ran into

I had a few annoyances while taking it, and they were noticeable enough that I kept paying attention to them.

  • I had a dry mouth for the first few days, so I kept water nearby.
  • If I took the evening capsule too late, my stomach felt a little unsettled.
  • The capsules left a lingering taste when I swallowed them without enough water.
  • I became impatient because I wanted a quick switch, and this worked more slowly than that.

The stomach issue was manageable once I took the second capsule with food instead of after a late cup of tea. I did not get headaches, dizziness, or anything that made me stop the course, but I would not call the experience completely symptom-free.

How it fit into my quit attempt

What I appreciated most was the routine. Taking Nicorix twice a day gave me two small moments to remind myself why I was trying to stop. That mattered more than I expected. Quitting felt too vague when I only told myself I would smoke less, but the capsules became part of a plan: less coffee, no cigarettes in the house, and a short walk when cravings hit.

I also slipped during week four. I smoked two cigarettes after a stressful family matter and felt annoyed with myself. Nicorix did not stop that from happening. What it did seem to help with was getting me back on track the next day instead of writing the whole attempt off and going straight back to my old level.

By the end of six weeks, I was smoking far less than before, but I still thought about cigarettes. The strongest cravings were after meals and when I drank alcohol. I would not rely on Nicorix alone if those are your biggest triggers. I had to change the situations around smoking as much as the smoking itself.

I think Nicorix may suit someone who is genuinely ready to put effort into quitting and wants a nicotine-free support to build a routine around. It may also suit people who do not want to keep using nicotine replacement products. I would skip it if you expect an instant fix or if you plan to change nothing else about your smoking habits. I would also be careful if you have ongoing health conditions, take regular medicines, are pregnant, or have reacted badly to supplements before, and I would check the label and speak with a healthcare professional in those cases.

Would I buy Nicorix again? I probably would if I felt myself sliding back into regular smoking and wanted that structure again. It was not a miracle, and it did not erase cravings, but it did help me create enough space between wanting a cigarette and having one.

My bottom line: Nicorix helped me cut down by making cravings feel more manageable, but I still had to do the hard part myself.
