Balancio is a dietary supplement in capsule form that I tried to support my energy metabolism and weight loss. I reached for it when my weight started to increase due to my sedentary job, and I mainly wanted to curb my evening snacking and have a bit more energy to move around.

At the beginning, what was important to me was how to take it. I took one capsule in the morning after breakfast and always washed it down with a large glass of water. When I tried it once with just a few sips of coffee, the capsule got uncomfortably stuck in my throat for a while. This happened to me twice, and then I was much more careful.

The ingredients revolved around chia seeds, L-carnitine, Cambodian garcinia, and raspberry extract. The capsules were of regular size and were quite easy to swallow. I didn’t have any strong taste from them, just occasionally a slight fruity aftertaste that I felt when burping. It wasn’t dramatic, but it wasn’t pleasant either.

During the first week, I hardly felt anything. My weight remained stable, and in the evening, I still mindlessly opened cookies. This disappointed me because the packaging gave me the impression that the change could come faster. Balancio didn’t provide me with any shortcuts.

In the second week, I noticed a slight change. After lunch, I didn’t feel as sluggish as before, and around three o’clock, I didn’t have to push myself as much to get moving. It wasn’t a surge of energy. Rather, I found it easier to go for a brisk walk after work instead of sitting down in front of the TV. At the same time, I was watching my dinners and added three walks a week, so it wouldn’t be fair to attribute all the changes solely to the capsules.

What I Noticed About Myself

Around the third week, I started to maintain my eating schedule better. In the evening, I didn’t feel hungry automatically every day, but it wasn’t as intense anymore. More often, a yogurt or fruit was enough for me, and I didn’t look for something salty. After six weeks, my weight went down only slightly, but my pants fit a bit looser at the waist. For me, that was a usable result, not a reason for high expectations.

Balancio didn’t change my relationship with food. When I had a stressful day or didn’t sleep enough, my craving for sweets returned completely normally. It didn’t help with my stiff back from long sitting and didn’t replace physical activity. One weekend, I ate heavily and drank more alcohol than usual, and the next morning, I felt unwell in my stomach after taking the capsule. The nausea was mild and passed during the morning, but since then, I only took it on days when I had a normal breakfast.

  • the effect came gradually, and I felt almost nothing in the first days;
  • without enough water, the capsule stuck uncomfortably in my throat;
  • occasional fruity aftertaste and a more sensitive stomach after taking it on an empty stomach bothered me.

I mainly liked that it reminded me of my plan every morning. The capsule alone wouldn’t have gotten me off the couch. If someone expects to quickly lose a few kilograms without changing their routine, they will likely be disappointed based on my experience. I had to complement it with food and movement; otherwise, almost nothing happened.

I would skip it if I had a sensitive stomach, if I was regularly taking medication, and during pregnancy or breastfeeding without prior discussion with a doctor. I didn’t have any serious reactions; I just learned not to take the capsule on an empty stomach. With a dietary supplement, caution makes sense to me, even though the composition didn’t seem dramatic at first glance.

I would buy Balancio again, but only during a time when my diet is balanced, and I want to maintain regularity. I wouldn’t expect it to burn fat on its own. For me, it slightly supported my routine, but I had to do the real work myself.
