I tried Insuvit as a dietary supplement in capsule form when I was dealing with fluctuations in energy throughout the day. I mainly wanted a calmer afternoon without sharp drops after lunch and less craving for sweets in the evening.
I took one capsule in the morning with breakfast and washed it down with a large glass of water. Regularity was important to me because for the first two days I took it only with coffee and pastries, and that didn’t work for me. I was left with a bitter aftertaste in my mouth and felt a slight pressure in my stomach for about half an hour. Once I started taking it after a proper breakfast, that feeling almost disappeared.
How I used it
I took the capsule for six weeks straight. One bottle contained twenty capsules, so I kept track of when I was running low. The capsule wasn’t large, easy to swallow, and didn’t have a strong smell. It just occasionally stuck to my tongue when I washed it down with a small sip of water. I didn’t take it in the evening because once after dinner I felt a fuller stomach, and I preferred that routine in the morning.
What I noticed about myself
Nothing much happened in the first week. That didn’t really surprise me. I still craved sweets, and after a larger portion of pasta, I felt just as sleepy as before. However, in the second week, I noticed that I reached for cookies less after lunch. It wasn’t a revolution, just a slight decrease in the urge to snack immediately.
Around the third week, I felt the most significant change. Afternoon fatigue didn’t hit me as sharply. Previously, around three o’clock, I would have a second strong coffee because I had a heavy head and poor concentration. With Insuvit, I skipped it a few times because I simply didn’t need it. When I slept poorly, I was still tired, but the sudden drop in energy wasn’t as sharp.
I don’t take this as proof that the capsules solved everything. At the same time, I started having breakfast more regularly and reduced large portions of sides in the evening. On days filled with sitting, little water, and sweet pastries for snacks, this supplement didn’t help me at all. Once I had a very sweet dessert, and the subsequent slump came completely normally. For me, it worked more as a small support for my routine rather than something that would replace good habits.
What bothered me
- when I took it without a proper meal, I felt bitterness in my mouth and slight irritation in my stomach;
- in the first few days, I expected a change too soon because the effect wasn’t immediate;
- it didn’t help me with evening overeating during stressful times;
- I didn’t see any dramatic change in weight or increased physical endurance.
Occasionally, I also measured my morning blood sugar, but I wouldn’t draw any major conclusions from a few values. Some mornings were calmer, others the same as before. It depended a lot on what I ate in the evening, how I slept, and whether I was active. Insuvit didn’t replace sensible meals or a short walk after dinner. Those two things had a more noticeable effect on me.
On the packaging and in the description, I perceived that it supports carbohydrate metabolism and normal blood glucose levels. At the same time, I encountered inconsistently presented information about the composition, which unnecessarily annoyed me. For a supplement aimed at people dealing with blood sugar, I would expect clearer and more straightforward information about the content and dosage.
In my opinion, it may suit an adult who is already managing their diet and wants to try a simple supplementary routine for mild fluctuations in energy or cravings for sweets. I wouldn’t recommend it to someone expecting a quick reduction in blood sugar or wanting to replace prescribed treatment without supervision. If someone has diabetes, takes medication affecting blood sugar, is pregnant, or has a sensitive stomach, I would only consider using it after consulting with a doctor or pharmacist. I viewed it as a supplement, not as a medication.
I would buy Insuvit again, but only if I maintained my usual routine. It wasn’t a miracle, but after a few weeks, it helped me manage my afternoons a bit more evenly. For me, Insuvit is a subtle support for energy and discipline, not a solution for blood sugar problems.
