Bluestone was a drop preparation in a small bottle for me, which I used as a support for mild men’s issues. I tried it because I had been experiencing a dull pressure in my lower abdomen and an irritated feeling when urinating for months. My main goal was simple: to get up less often at night.

The bottle I had was blue, with a black label and the inscription Bluestone as well as secretion regens 30 ml. What bothered me right away was that the information was in Spanish. For a remedy that I take regularly, I would have preferred clear instructions in German, just to avoid having to guess.

I measured the drops with the pipette and added them to half a glass of water. Once in the morning, once in the evening. For me, it was 20 drops per dose, not because I wanted to make a science out of it, but because I had a fixed routine with it. I only dropped it directly under my tongue once when I was in a hurry. That was not a good idea. The taste was bitter, herbal, and lingered unpleasantly long in my mouth.

I took Bluestone for six weeks straight. Quite consistently, except for two evenings when I fell asleep early and forgot it. In the first week, I hardly noticed any changes. That was initially disappointing, but not surprising, as such drops sound more like a slow buildup than an immediate effect. What I sometimes felt during this initial period was a slight warmth in my face, similar to after a quick walk up the stairs.

In the second week, my lower abdominal feeling became calmer. Not gone. Calmer. I noticed it especially when sitting at my desk, as I often became restless and constantly changed positions. From the third week on, the nighttime urge to urinate improved a bit. I continued to wake up, but more often only towards morning and not so reliably in the middle of the night. To outsiders, this may sound small. For me, it made a difference because I was less groggy in the morning.

When it came to urination itself, I didn’t experience any dramatic changes. The stream didn’t suddenly become strong like it used to, and the burning or irritated feeling didn’t completely disappear. It just occurred less frequently. I particularly noticed this on days with a lot of coffee, when I otherwise experienced that uncomfortable pulling sensation more quickly. I still drink coffee; I’m not fooling myself. But during the day, I had that strange feeling of: I need to go soon, but somehow not, less often. This became clearer around week four, first while driving, as I no longer automatically planned every rest stop in my head.

Regarding the ingredients, I could identify L-arginine, biotin as vitamin B7, ashwagandha extract, epimedium extract, saw palmetto extract, and bitter orange extract, as far as I could find. This matched my impression. It tasted herbal, and bitter orange at least explained to me why I sometimes felt slightly stimulated after taking it. I react quite quickly to such things.

The downsides were not huge in everyday life, but they were there:

  • The bitter taste lingered for a long time if I didn’t drink enough water.
  • In the evenings, I experienced slight heartburn on four or five days when I took the drops late.
  • Once, I felt a bit dizzy after the morning dose when I stood up too quickly.
  • The Spanish label didn’t give me a particularly good feeling.

What Bluestone did not resolve for me was the fundamental tension in the pelvic area during stress. If I slept poorly, sat for a long time, or drank too little, the discomfort returned. So I had to continue paying attention to my habits. For me, Bluestone was therefore not a solution in the sense of flipping a switch, but rather a gentle support that made a few things a bit more bearable.

I would categorize it for people who have mild, rather annoying issues around lower abdominal feelings and urination and are willing to stick with it for several weeks. Those who are very sensitive to bitter herbs, stimulating plant substances, or heartburn should be cautious. If medications for circulation or blood pressure are involved or a clear medical diagnosis is present, I would clarify beforehand whether such a drop preparation is suitable. I was also bothered by not being able to clearly identify whether it is classified as a medicine or more as a supplement.

Would I buy Bluestone again? Maybe, but not blindly. If my issues returned to that annoying but not dramatic range, I would take it again for a few weeks because the calmer nights and the more relaxed abdominal feeling were noticeable for me. If it were worse, I wouldn’t rely on it. My honest assessment: Bluestone helped me slowly and moderately, but it had enough small everyday downsides that I would only recommend it for mild issues.
