Ultraxal is a dietary supplement in capsule form with artichoke extract and silymarin. I tried it because after heavy meals I often felt bloated and had a heavy sensation in my stomach, and I wanted something to make my afternoons after eating more comfortable.
The bottle contained twenty capsules, and I kept it in the kitchen cupboard next to the cereals so I wouldn’t forget it. I took one capsule every morning with breakfast and a full glass of water. For the first two days, I took it with coffee and a little food, and that didn’t suit me very well. From the third day, I took it after eating something substantial, even a slice of bread with yogurt, and that made the intake more comfortable.
In the first week, I didn’t notice a clear difference. I didn’t feel a sudden lightness, nor did anything change when I ate very heavy food. This bothered me a bit because I expected faster results, but I continued since it didn’t cause me significant discomfort, and I wanted to give the routine some time.
By the end of the second week, I noticed that the usual bloating after lunch was milder. It didn’t disappear. I just didn’t sit on the couch feeling like my pants were squeezing my waist. On days when I ate simpler meals, with vegetables, rice, or fish, the difference was more noticeable.
In the third week, I saw the most consistent change for me. After eating, I didn’t have that heavy burp as often, and my belly looked less bloated in the evening. I didn’t see it as a solution for every digestive issue. If I ate late, very fried food, or drank a lot of alcohol, Ultraxal couldn’t fix my choices, and then I felt weight and heartburn again.
I liked that the capsule was easy to swallow. It didn’t have a strong smell and didn’t leave a bad taste immediately. Sometimes, about half an hour after taking it, I felt a slight herbal aftertaste. It wasn’t serious, but enough for me not to want to lean over the computer immediately. Once, when I took it on an empty stomach, I felt a slight tightness high in my belly for about twenty minutes, so for me, it wasn’t the best choice without food.
These were the main drawbacks I noted:
- I didn’t feel results in the first week.
- On an empty stomach, it caused mild discomfort.
- It didn’t help with heartburn when I had eaten late or excessively.
- It requires consistency, as a missed day threw me off my rhythm.
I didn’t notice any change in my weight, nor more energy, nor any dramatic difference in appetite. I didn’t take it for those reasons and wouldn’t associate it with such results. The help I felt was mainly limited to mild discomfort after eating. For me, this was useful, but not impressive.
I would consider it an option for someone who has occasional bloating, a feeling of heaviness after meals, and wants to try a simple daily habit. I wouldn’t recommend it to someone expecting to resolve intense pain, constant heartburn, persistent nausea, or serious digestive issues. Anyone with a gallbladder condition, on regular medication, pregnant, or breastfeeding should discuss it first with a doctor or pharmacist.
If I found it again during a time when my diet was more erratic, I would buy it again. I wouldn’t rely solely on it, but within a more careful program, it helped me get through heavy afternoons a bit more comfortably.
