I used Hemopro as a cream for hemorrhoids after a period of sitting a lot and experiencing constipation, which made the anal area irritated and painful. I wanted something to reduce the itching, burning, and discomfort so I could sit and move more normally.
The product came in an 80 ml tube, and the fact that it was clearly labeled as a hemorrhoid cream helped me know from the start what I was using. My packaging was blue and white with black accents, but I was a bit confused that the text on the tube was in English, even though the product was purchased in Romania.
How I used it
I applied Hemopro twice a day, in the morning and evening, for about six weeks. Initially, I washed with warm water and gently dried myself, then applied a thin layer. At first, I was very consistent, but I skipped a morning here and there when I was in a hurry, though I mostly kept the evening routine.
I quickly learned that more doesn’t mean better. If I applied too much cream, it would remain wet and sticky, staining my underwear if I was in a rush. In the first week, I even put a simple tissue in my underwear to avoid that stress.
I also noticed something else. If I applied it just before leaving the house, I sometimes felt a brief cooling sensation followed by a slight warmth in the area. It wasn’t painful, but it was enough for me to notice it for a few minutes.
What I felt over time
In the first two to three days, the change was minimal. I felt a brief relief after application, but the symptoms returned with the next bathroom visit or after a few hours of sitting. It wasn’t until the first week that I noticed a clear difference in itching, which calmed down and didn’t bother me throughout the day.
By the end of the second week, I felt less burning after going to the bathroom. It also helped that I was more mindful of water and fiber intake, as I quickly realized that a cream alone doesn’t solve everything if you strain the area. Hemopro gave me the feeling that it calmed the skin and allowed it to heal more easily.
In the third week, I noticed most clearly that the dull, pressure-like pain had decreased. It didn’t disappear completely, but I could sit longer without constantly getting up. On better days, I almost forgot about the issue. On worse days, the cream at least helped me get through the episode with less discomfort.
Bleeding for me wasn’t constant, but occasional. I can’t say that Hemopro stopped it directly, but in the month I was consistent, I had fewer episodes. My routine may have played a role, not just the cream. That’s what I observed.
What I didn’t like
- During the first applications, I experienced a brief tingling sensation and localized warmth.
- If I applied too much, it became sticky and bothered me while walking.
- It didn’t address the underlying cause, especially when constipation and prolonged sitting returned.
I also felt that in more serious episodes, with significant swelling and strong pain, it only helped partially. On such days, it was more of a local pain reliever than a complete solution. I didn’t have strong skin irritations, but I wouldn’t say the effect was spectacular.
From what I observed, the product is better suited for mild to moderate symptoms when you want to reduce everyday itching, burning, and irritation. I find it useful if you use it consistently and also take care of other factors that aggravate the problem. I would be more cautious if I knew I reacted poorly to scented creams or certain plant extracts. And if frequent bleeding or severe pain occurs, I wouldn’t rely solely on the cream.
What I liked is that the texture absorbed quite quickly when I applied a small amount, and the overall sensation was of gradual soothing, not a sudden effect. What I didn’t like is that I had to be patient and mindful of the amount and routine. That’s how I managed to get something good out of it.
I would buy Hemopro again, but with realistic expectations. For me, it was especially helpful for comfort, itching, and burning after using the bathroom, and in a few weeks, it made my life easier. It didn’t resolve the underlying cause, but it reduced the symptoms enough for me to consider it a good option for managing them. If I had doubts about severity again, I would seek medical advice, not just rely on the cream.
