I tried Cystolax as a dietary supplement in capsule form when I experienced mild burning during urination and frequent urges after getting cold and traveling for a long time. I mainly wanted to calm that uncomfortable pressure before it started interfering with my daily life.

I was intrigued by the mix of D-mannose, cranberry extract, hibiscus, and bearberry in the box. I didn’t expect a miracle or a substitute for treating an infection. I took it only as support when I felt the first signs of trouble and didn’t want to let them escalate.

How I took it

I took the capsules for six weeks. For the first two weeks, I took one in the morning after breakfast and another in the evening after dinner, always with a large glass of water. Then I switched to one capsule daily in the morning as my condition gradually improved.

On an empty stomach, they didn’t sit well with me. Once, I took them only with coffee, and my stomach reminded me with a slight pressure. After that experience, I started associating them with food and water, which worked much better for me.

The capsules were small, easy to swallow, and had no strong taste. Occasionally, I felt a slight sour aftertaste in my mouth, but it disappeared after a few minutes. In the evening, I kept them next to my toothbrush; otherwise, I would forget about them in my daily rush.

What I really noticed

Nothing much happened in the first week. The burning didn’t get worse, but I didn’t feel a clear relief either. I also started drinking more water during that time, so I can’t say exactly what Cystolax did and what was just due to a more diligent hydration routine.

About the third week, I noticed that the urge to go to the bathroom wasn’t as bothersome. Previously, during longer meetings or while traveling by tram, I would worry about where the nearest restroom would be. Later, I thought about it less. The burning during urination also gradually eased, but it didn’t happen quickly and wasn’t overnight.

I mainly liked the regularity. I didn’t feel like the capsules
